The Office of Advocacy Services assists consumers,
family members, providers and others in safeguarding the
civil and legal rights of persons with mental illness,
mental retardation and chemical addictions who are served
in department facilities and community programs across the
state. Advocates are located throughout the state, with
offices in most of the department's facilities.
